2. Sarah HAWORTH.1 Born abt 1820 in Musbury or Oswaldtwistle. Sarah died in Accrington in 1881, she was 61. Reference #: 41.170.

ii. James (Illegitimate). Born abt 1842 in Oswaldtwistle. Occupation: 1861: coal miner.

In 1847 when Sarah was 27, she second married Matthew RAWCLIFFE1, in Hyndburn Reg Office.2 Born abt 1819 in Oswaldtwistle. Matthew died bef 1901, he was 82. Occupation: 1851: quarryman, 1861:Lab at Print works;1871: quarryman.

They had the following children:
i. Ann. Born abt 1848 in Accrington.
ii. Mary. Born abt 1849 in Accrington.
iii. Rachel. Born abt 1853 in Accrington.
iv. Ellen. Born abt 1859 in Oswaldtwistle.
v. Catherine. Born abt 1863 in Oswaldtwistle.

3. Dennis HAWORTH. Born abt 1831 in Accrington. Dennis died on 27 Aug 1875, he was 44.3 Buried at Immanuel. Occupation: Cotton spinner. Reference #: 41.167.

In 1858 when Dennis was 27, he married Mary CHAMBERS, in Accrington,St James.2 Born abt 1840 in Oswaldtwistle. Reference #: 61.100.

They had the following children:
i. Joseph (Died as Child). Born on 1 Jan 1860 in Busk, Oswaldtwistle.4 Joseph died in Busk, Oswaldtwistle on 31 Jan 1866, he was 6.3 Buried on 4 Feb 1866 at Immanuel.5 Joseph was baptized at Church St James on 25 Mar 1860.4
ii. Mary Alice (Died as Infant). Born abt 1863. Mary Alice died in Oswaldtwistle on 5 Jan 1866, she was 3.3

The only evidence for the life of Mary Alice is from the MI's. There is no baptism in the registers nor, more significantly NO burial at Immanuel

iv. Sarah Ann (Died as Infant). Born in Jan 1867 in Busk, Oswaldtwistle. Sarah Ann died on 8 Feb 1867.3 Buried on 8 Feb 1867 at Immanuel.5
v. James. Born abt 1868 in Oswaldtwistle. Reference #: 71.106.
vi. Lucinda. Born in 1870 in Oswaldtwistle. Reference #: 71.107.
