On 16 Oct 1907 when Alfred was 30, he married Rachel TATTERSALL, in Mount Pleasant.⁴

They had the following children:

		i.	George. Born on 29 Feb 1908 in Oswadtwistle.4 George was baptized at Mount Pleasant on 29 Mar 1908.4
		ii.	Ethel. Born on 9 May 1912 in Oswadtwistle.4 Ethel was baptized at Mount Pleasant on 30 Jun 1912.4
