In 1889 when Jacob was 18, he married Mary BUTTERWORTH.3 Born abt 1869 in Oswaldtwistle. Mary died on 21 Jul 1921, she was 52.2 Buried at Immanuel. Reference #: 91.270.

i. Harry (Died as Infant). Born on 10 Jul 1894 in Oswaldtwistle.4 Harry died on 9 Oct 1894.2 Buried at Immanuel. Harry was baptized at St James' , Church Kirk on 1 Aug 1894.4

On 31 May 1909 when Joseph was 27, he married Edith Alice GIBSON, daughter of Elias GIBSON & Mary Alice HOWARTH (1853-), in Mount Pleasant.6

They had the following children:
