2. Hindle HAWORTH. Born abt 1820 in Accrington. Hindle died in Lawrence, Mass, USA on 27 Jun 1885, he was 65.2 Hindle was baptized at St James', Accrington on 30 Jan 1820.1 Occupation: Engraver. Reference #: 51.15.

In 1846 when Hindle was 26, he married Nancy HINDLE, in Blackburn Reg District.3 Born abt 1822 in Accrington. Nancy died in Oswadtwistle on 14 Feb 1870, she was 48.2 Buried at Immanuel. Reference #: 51.16.

They had the following children:
i. Mary Jane. Born in 1848 in Oswadtwistle.3 Mary Jane died in Oswadtwistle on 18 Feb 1884, she was 36.2 Buried at Immanuel. Mary Jane was baptized at Accrington on 18 Jun 1848.4 Reference #: 51.17.
ii. Bibeana. Born in 1850 in Oswadtwistle.3 Bibeana died on 11 Apr 1906, she was 56.2 Buried at Immanuel. Bibeana was baptized at Accrington on 29 Sep 1850.4 Reference #: 51.18.

1901: Witton Gilbert, DUR

In 1886 when Bibeana was 36, she married Robert LOWERY, in St Matthew, Burnley.3 Born abt 1860 in Pittington, DUR. Occupation: 1891: Cabinet Maker, 1901:Wheelwright.

iv. John Thomas. Born in 1856 in Oswadtwistle.3 John Thomas died in Oswadtwistle on 4 Mar 1893, he was 37.2 Buried at Immanuel. At the age of 1, John Thomas was baptized at Accrington on 18 Jan 1857.5 Reference #: 61.108.

3. Doctor HAWORTH. Born on 2 Aug 1823 in Green Haworth, Oswaldtwistle.1 Doctor was baptized at St James', Accrington on 24 Aug 1823.1 Occupation: Miner. Reference #: 51.100.

Assisted in recovery of bodies from the Moss Pitt, Oswaldtwistle afetr the mining accident in 1855 which killed 4 men.

However he had a history of vilolence.

Was summonsed by his wife in March 1864 for wife battering (breaking a chair across her back) but he told the magistrates that she drank and that their differences had started within 2 months of marriage. The magistrates told them to sort it out. However in December he was sentenced at Liverpool Assizes to 6 years for the rape of a 14 year old girl.

In 1845 when Doctor was 21, he married Ann SHORROCK, in Accrington St James.3 Born abt 1823 in Over Darwen. Reference #: 51.102.

Still in Ossy in 1871, but disappears after this.

They had the following children:
i. Nancy. Born in 1845 in Oswadtwistle. At the age of 11, Nancy was baptized at Church kirk on 25 Oct 1856.6 Reference #: 51.103.
ii. Ellen. Born abt 1849 in Oswadtwistle. Reference #: 51.101.
iii. George. Born abt 1850 in Oswadtwistle. Reference #: 51.104.
iv. Lettice. Born abt 1859 in Oswadtwistle. Reference #: 61.52.
