2. George HAWORTH.¹ Born abt 1820 in Oswaldtwistle. George died in Oswaldtwistle on 11 Jan 1886, he was 66.¹ Buried at Immanuel. Occupation: Cotton Weaver, Grocer. Reference #: 41.62.

On 14 Aug 1840 when George was 20, he first married Mary WALSH, daughter of Zachareus WALSH (~1779-1843) & Millicent (~1784-1843), in Immanuel.² Born abt 1822 in Oswaldtwistle. Mary died in Oswaldtwistle on 24 Aug 1853, she was 31.¹ Buried at Immanuel. Mary was baptized at Church St James on 1 Sep 1822. Reference #: 41.53.

They had the following children:

	i.	John. Born abt 1841 in Oswaldtwistle. John died in Oswaldtwistle on 8 Aug 1858, he was 17.¹ Buried at Immanuel. Occupation: Cotton Weaver. Reference #: 41.64.

	iii.	James. Born abt 1845 in Oswaldtwistle. Occupation: Cotton Weaver. Reference #: 51.73. Living in Blackpool in 1901. On 25 Jul 1897 when James was 52, he married Ann INGHAM, in Immanuel.³
	iv.	William. Born abt 1847 in Oswaldtwistle. William died in Oswaldtwistle on 25 Aug 1873, he was 26.¹ Buried at Immanuel. Occupation: Cotton Weaver. Reference #: 51.75.
	v.	Mary E. Born abt 1849 in Oswaldtwistle. Reference #: 51.74.

	vii.	Melina. Born in 1853 in Oswaldtwistle. Reference #: 61.159.

aft 1853 when George was 33, he second married Ann. Born abt 1818 in Haslingden. Ann died in Oswaldtwistle on 29 Dec 1871, she was 53.¹ Buried at Immanuel. Reference #: 61.158.
